Terms of service

Native iOS and Android subscriptions are purchased through the App Store or Google Play, at the price and renewal period shown by that store. Sign in to You2Chef before purchasing so access and plan seats can follow your account. Purchases are verified with the store; pending payments do not unlock Super. Restore purchases in the app, using the You2Chef account used for the purchase. Cancel native subscriptions in the original store: deleting your You2Chef account does not cancel an App Store or Google Play subscription. Store refund rules and your statutory rights apply.

1. Who you deal with

You2Chef (the app on iOS, Android, the web at you2chef.com and in Telegram, and the Telegram bot) is run by Camille Zhuxuanxi Bartholdi, Sole proprietorship (Einzelunternehmen), Paul Feyerabend Hof 1, 8049 Zurich, Zurich, Switzerland ("we"). Contact: bartholdicamille@gmail.com. By using You2Chef you accept these terms. If you are a consumer, nothing in them limits the rights the law of your country gives you and that cannot be waived.

2. The service

You2Chef helps you learn to cook: recipes and country cookbooks, meal planning, shopping lists, timers, a meal log and a diet plan. Most of it is free and works without an account. An optional account lets you sign in with passkeys or Telegram and sync your data between devices. You2Chef Super (for 2 people) and You2Chef Super Family (for up to 10) are optional paid plans with extra features, which can also be given as gifts.

We keep improving You2Chef and may change, add or remove features. We will not remove a feature you have paid for during a paid period without a pro-rata refund.

3. Cooking, food safety and health

Recipes and information in You2Chef are for general purposes. Country cookbooks are written with the help of AI and reviewed, but may contain mistakes. Follow food-safety guidance, cook meat, fish and eggs to safe temperatures, and check every ingredient for allergens yourself; You2Chef checks only some allergens. The diet plan gives estimates from general formulas; it is not medical or nutritional advice and does not replace a doctor or dietitian, especially if you are pregnant, ill, under 18, or have or had an eating disorder.

4. Your account

You need to be at least 13 (in the EEA, under 16 with a parent's consent). Keep your devices, passkeys and recovery codes safe. There is no password reset, email or SMS recovery: if you lose every passkey, your recovery codes and your linked Telegram, nobody, including us, can restore access. One person, one account; do not create accounts automatically or in bulk.

Recovery and inactivity: free accounts have 1 GB of cloud storage, including preferences, library data and compressed library images. Super and approved creators have unlimited storage subject to abuse controls. Free accounts and their data are deleted after 183 days without account activity; active Super and approved creator accounts are exempt. Keep an exported backup. Local-only and unsynced content is not recoverable after device loss. Only one active app session is permitted; close/background You2Chef before switching devices. Crash leases expire within one minute. Native video uploads are deferred; external video links are supplementary.

Joining Telegram and the web: if you link a Telegram account that already has its own You2Chef account, the two accounts are merged into one. Everything from both is kept (each recipe, plan entry and log entry has its own identity); where the two differ, for example in settings, the side you choose wins. The other account then no longer exists.

You can delete your account at any time in the app (Account → Delete account).

5. Your content

Recipes, photos and notes you create stay yours. You grant You2Chef a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to store, reproduce, resize, format, display and distribute your submitted content as needed for your requested device sync, private friend deliveries, explicit Super archive and, if you are an approved creator, public publishing. Friend deliveries are saved locally and cleared from the relay after confirmed receipt, with a seven-day expiry for undelivered content. Streaks follow replies; either participant having Super permits restoration. Eligible Super archive is optional, off by default and unlimited subject to abuse controls. Approved creators receive Super free while approved; a paid Family plan retains its seats. Do not put content into You2Chef that is illegal or infringes others' rights.

6. Acceptable use

Do not misuse You2Chef: no attacks, scraping, circumventing limits or security, automated sign-ups, reselling, or using the bot to spam. We may suspend or delete accounts that do, after a warning where reasonable.

7. You2Chef Super, Super Family and gifts

Plans

• You2Chef Super is a plan for you and one more person. You2Chef Super Family is a plan for up to 10 people (you and 9 more). Prices are shown at checkout.
• The person who buys the plan is its owner. The owner invites others with a single-use link that is valid for 7 days; the invited person opens it while signed in to their own You2Chef account. The owner can remove members at any time, and members can leave.
• Members have Super only while the owner's plan is active and only for its number of seats. If a plan gets smaller (for example from Family to Super), the members who joined first keep their seats. Each person keeps their own account and data; only Super is shared.

Buying

• Price and period: the price is shown before you pay. On the web, choose monthly or annual billing before payment. Subscriptions renew automatically for the selected period until you cancel. Annual prices are based on ten monthly payments rounded up to the displayed retail ending. Telegram Stars subscriptions renew every 30 days; the native stores show their available billing periods.
• Where you buy decides who sells and bills:
  • In the iOS or Android app, Apple or Google sell and bill the subscription under their terms.
  • In Telegram you pay with Telegram Stars under Telegram's terms for Stars.
  • On the web: orders are sold through Link, Stripe's merchant of record service, on Stripe's own checkout page. The seller and its terms are shown at checkout and on your receipt; Stripe/Link take the payment, handle tax and send receipts and renewal reminders.
• A plan bought with Stars or on the web belongs to your You2Chef account and works wherever you sign in to it.
• Changing plans: on the web you can switch between Super and Family and between monthly and annual billing; Stripe charges or credits the difference pro rata. With Stars, buying Family stops the renewals of your Super, which then runs out at the end of its period.
• Cancelling: any time, where you bought it (App Store or Google Play subscriptions; Telegram: Settings → My Stars → Subscriptions; web: Manage subscription in You2Chef, which opens Stripe's customer portal, or on link.com). The plan stays until the end of the paid period.
• Refunds and withdrawal: see Cancellation and refunds.
• Price changes: we tell you in advance; they apply from the next period, and you can cancel before.

Gifts

• You can buy 1, 3 or 12 months of Super or Super Family as a gift. A gift is paid once and does not renew.
• You receive a gift code and link to pass on. The code works once and does not expire. Whoever redeems it becomes the owner of that plan for that time, starting when any current plan of the same kind they hold ends.
• Gifts cannot be exchanged for money or transferred once redeemed. Keep the code safe: anyone who has it can redeem it.

8. Availability

We work to keep You2Chef available but cannot promise it is always reachable or free of errors. The app works offline; sync and Super need our server. Keep a downloaded copy of your data now and then.

9. Liability

We are liable without limit for intent and gross negligence, for injury to life, body or health, and where the law does not allow a limit. Otherwise our liability for slight negligence is limited to foreseeable, typical damage and, for paid services, to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the event; for free features it is excluded as far as the law allows. We are not liable for content you or others create, or for the services of Apple, Google, Telegram or Cloudflare.

10. Changes and transfer

We may change these terms for good reason (new features, law, security). We announce material changes in the app at least 30 days before they apply; if you do not agree you can stop using You2Chef, cancel Super and delete your account. We may transfer the service and these contracts to a company we control (for example when You2Chef becomes a company); we will tell you beforehand in the app and your rights stay the same.

11. Law and courts

These terms are governed by the law of Switzerland, excluding its conflict-of-law rules and the UN Convention on Contracts for the International Sale of Goods. If you are a consumer, you keep the protection of the mandatory law of your country of residence and may also sue in its courts. The EU's online dispute resolution platform has been discontinued; we do not take part in consumer arbitration, but please write to us first, we answer every message.

1. Vertragspartner

You2Chef (die App für iOS, Android, im Web unter you2chef.com und in Telegram, sowie der Telegram-Bot) wird betrieben von Camille Zhuxuanxi Bartholdi, Sole proprietorship (Einzelunternehmen), Paul Feyerabend Hof 1, 8049 Zurich, Zurich, Switzerland („wir"). Kontakt: bartholdicamille@gmail.com. Mit der Nutzung von You2Chef akzeptierst du diese Bedingungen. Bist du Verbraucher, schränken sie keine Rechte ein, die dir das Recht deines Landes zwingend gibt.

2. Der Dienst

You2Chef hilft dir, kochen zu lernen: Rezepte und Länderkochbücher, Essensplanung, Einkaufslisten, Timer, ein Essenstagebuch und ein Ernährungsplan. Das meiste ist kostenlos und funktioniert ohne Konto. Ein freiwilliges Konto erlaubt die Anmeldung mit Passkeys oder Telegram und die Synchronisierung deiner Daten zwischen Geräten. You2Chef Super (für 2 Personen) und You2Chef Super Family (für bis zu 10) sind freiwillige kostenpflichtige Pläne mit zusätzlichen Funktionen, die man auch verschenken kann.

Wir entwickeln You2Chef weiter und können Funktionen ändern, hinzufügen oder entfernen. Eine bezahlte Funktion entfernen wir während einer bezahlten Laufzeit nicht ohne anteilige Erstattung.

3. Kochen, Lebensmittelsicherheit und Gesundheit

Rezepte und Informationen in You2Chef dienen allgemeinen Zwecken. Länderkochbücher werden mit Hilfe von KI geschrieben und geprüft, können aber Fehler enthalten. Beachte die Regeln der Lebensmittelsicherheit, gare Fleisch, Fisch und Eier auf sichere Temperaturen und prüfe jede Zutat selbst auf Allergene; You2Chef prüft nur einige Allergene. Der Ernährungsplan liefert Schätzungen aus allgemeinen Formeln; er ist keine medizinische oder Ernährungsberatung und ersetzt keine Ärztin und keinen Ernährungsberater, besonders in der Schwangerschaft, bei Krankheit, unter 18 Jahren oder bei (früheren) Essstörungen.

4. Dein Konto

Du musst mindestens 13 Jahre alt sein (im EWR unter 16 Jahren mit Zustimmung eines Elternteils). Schütze deine Geräte, Passkeys und Wiederherstellungscodes. Es gibt kein Passwort-Zurücksetzen und keine Wiederherstellung per E-Mail oder SMS: Verlierst du alle Passkeys, deine Wiederherstellungscodes und dein verknüpftes Telegram, kann niemand, auch wir nicht, den Zugang wiederherstellen. Eine Person, ein Konto; erstelle keine Konten automatisiert oder in Massen.

Wiederherstellung und Inaktivität: Kostenlose Konten haben 1 GB Cloud-Speicher für Einstellungen, Bibliotheksdaten und komprimierte Bilder. Super und anerkannte Creator erhalten unbegrenzten Speicher mit Missbrauchsschutz. Kostenlose Konten samt Daten werden nach 183 Tagen ohne Kontonutzung gelöscht; aktives Super und Creator-Konten sind ausgenommen. Bewahre einen Export auf. Nicht synchronisierte lokale Inhalte sind bei Geräteverlust nicht wiederherstellbar. Nur eine App-Sitzung ist gleichzeitig aktiv; schließe You2Chef vor dem Gerätewechsel. Nach einem Absturz endet die aktive Sitzung nach höchstens einer Minute. Neue native Video-Uploads sind zurückgestellt; externe Videolinks sind ergänzend.

Telegram und Web verbinden: Verknüpfst du ein Telegram-Konto, das schon ein eigenes You2Chef-Konto hat, werden die beiden Konten zu einem zusammengeführt. Alles aus beiden bleibt erhalten (jedes Rezept, jeder Planeintrag und jeder Tagebucheintrag hat seine eigene Identität); wo sie sich unterscheiden, etwa bei Einstellungen, gewinnt die Seite, die du wählst. Das andere Konto besteht danach nicht mehr.

Du kannst dein Konto jederzeit in der App löschen (Konto → Konto löschen).

5. Deine Inhalte

Rezepte, Fotos und Notizen, die du erstellst, bleiben deine. Du gewährst You2Chef eine nicht ausschließliche, weltweite, gebührenfreie Lizenz zur Speicherung, Vervielfältigung, Größen- und Formatanpassung, Anzeige und Verbreitung für die gewünschte Gerätesynchronisierung, private Freundeszustellungen, ausdrücklich aktivierte Super-Archive und als freigegebener Creator für öffentliche Beiträge. Freundeszustellungen werden lokal gespeichert und nach bestätigtem Empfang aus dem Relay geleert; unzugestellte Inhalte laufen nach sieben Tagen ab. Serien entstehen aus Antworten; Super eines Teilnehmers ermöglicht die Wiederherstellung. Das optionale Super-Archiv ist standardmäßig aus und unbegrenzt mit Missbrauchsschutz. Freigegebene Creator erhalten während ihrer Freigabe kostenlos Super; ein bezahlter Family-Plan behält seine Plätze. Stelle keine rechtswidrigen oder fremde Rechte verletzenden Inhalte in You2Chef.

6. Zulässige Nutzung

Missbrauche You2Chef nicht: keine Angriffe, kein Scraping, kein Umgehen von Grenzen oder Sicherheit, keine automatisierten Anmeldungen, kein Weiterverkauf, kein Spam über den Bot. Wir können Konten, die das tun, sperren oder löschen, wo zumutbar nach einer Warnung.

7. You2Chef Super, Super Family und Geschenke

Pläne

• You2Chef Super ist ein Plan für dich und eine weitere Person. You2Chef Super Family ist ein Plan für bis zu 10 Personen (du und 9 weitere). Die Preise werden an der Kasse angezeigt.
• Wer den Plan kauft, ist sein Inhaber. Der Inhaber lädt andere mit einem Einmal-Link ein, der 7 Tage gilt; die eingeladene Person öffnet ihn, während sie in ihrem eigenen You2Chef-Konto angemeldet ist. Der Inhaber kann Mitglieder jederzeit entfernen, und Mitglieder können austreten.
• Mitglieder haben Super nur, solange der Plan des Inhabers aktiv ist, und nur im Rahmen seiner Plätze. Wird ein Plan kleiner (etwa von Family zu Super), behalten die zuerst beigetretenen Mitglieder ihren Platz. Jede Person behält ihr eigenes Konto und ihre Daten; geteilt wird nur Super.

Kaufen

• Preis und Laufzeit: Der Preis wird vor der Zahlung angezeigt. Im Web wählst du vor der Zahlung monatliche oder jährliche Abrechnung. Abos verlängern sich bis zur Kündigung automatisch um die gewählte Laufzeit. Jahrespreise beruhen auf zehn Monatszahlungen, aufgerundet auf den angezeigten Endbetrag. Telegram-Sterne-Abos verlängern sich alle 30 Tage; die App-Stores zeigen ihre verfügbaren Laufzeiten.
• Wo du kaufst, entscheidet, wer verkauft und abrechnet:
  • In der iOS- oder Android-App verkaufen und berechnen Apple oder Google das Abo nach ihren Bedingungen.
  • In Telegram zahlst du mit Telegram-Sternen nach Telegrams Bedingungen für Sterne.
  • Im Web: Bestellungen werden über Link, Stripes Händlerdienst (Merchant of Record), auf Stripes eigener Kassenseite verkauft. Verkäufer und seine Bedingungen werden an der Kasse und auf deinem Beleg angezeigt; Stripe/Link nehmen die Zahlung entgegen, kümmern sich um Steuern und senden Belege und Verlängerungshinweise.
• Ein mit Sternen oder im Web gekaufter Plan gehört zu deinem You2Chef-Konto und gilt überall, wo du dich damit anmeldest.
• Plan wechseln: Im Web kannst du zwischen Super und Family sowie monatlicher und jährlicher Abrechnung wechseln; Stripe berechnet oder erstattet die Differenz anteilig. Mit Sternen beendet der Kauf von Family die Verlängerungen deines Super, das am Ende seiner Laufzeit ausläuft.
• Kündigung: jederzeit dort, wo du gekauft hast (Abos im App Store oder bei Google Play; Telegram: Einstellungen → Meine Sterne → Abonnements; Web: Abo verwalten in You2Chef, das Stripes Kundenportal öffnet, oder auf link.com). Der Plan bleibt bis zum Ende der bezahlten Zeit.
• Rückerstattung und Widerruf: siehe Kündigung und Rückerstattung.
• Preisänderungen: kündigen wir vorher an; sie gelten ab der nächsten Laufzeit, und du kannst vorher kündigen.

Geschenke

• Du kannst 1, 3 oder 12 Monate Super oder Super Family verschenken. Ein Geschenk wird einmal bezahlt und verlängert sich nicht.
• Du erhältst einen Geschenkcode und -Link zum Weitergeben. Der Code funktioniert einmal und läuft nicht ab. Wer ihn einlöst, wird für diese Zeit Inhaber des Plans, beginnend mit dem Ende eines laufenden Plans derselben Art.
• Geschenke können nicht in Geld umgetauscht und nach der Einlösung nicht übertragen werden. Bewahre den Code sicher auf: Wer ihn hat, kann ihn einlösen.

8. Verfügbarkeit

Wir bemühen uns um ein verfügbares You2Chef, können aber nicht versprechen, dass es immer erreichbar oder fehlerfrei ist. Die App funktioniert offline; Synchronisierung und Super brauchen unseren Server. Lade ab und zu eine Kopie deiner Daten herunter.

9. Haftung

Wir haften unbeschränkt für Vorsatz und grobe Fahrlässigkeit, für Schäden an Leben, Körper oder Gesundheit und wo das Gesetz keine Beschränkung erlaubt. Im Übrigen ist unsere Haftung für leichte Fahrlässigkeit auf vorhersehbare, typische Schäden und bei bezahlten Diensten auf den Betrag begrenzt, den du uns in den 12 Monaten vor dem Ereignis bezahlt hast; für kostenlose Funktionen ist sie ausgeschlossen, soweit gesetzlich zulässig. Für Inhalte von dir oder anderen und für die Dienste von Apple, Google, Telegram oder Cloudflare haften wir nicht.

10. Änderungen und Übertragung

Wir können diese Bedingungen aus gutem Grund ändern (neue Funktionen, Recht, Sicherheit). Wesentliche Änderungen kündigen wir mindestens 30 Tage vorher in der App an; bist du nicht einverstanden, kannst du You2Chef nicht mehr nutzen, Super kündigen und dein Konto löschen. Wir dürfen den Dienst und diese Verträge auf eine von uns kontrollierte Gesellschaft übertragen (etwa wenn You2Chef zu einer Firma wird); wir sagen es dir vorher in der App, und deine Rechte bleiben gleich.

11. Recht und Gerichtsstand

Es gilt das Recht am Sitz des Betreibers (Switzerland), unter Ausschluss der Kollisionsnormen und des UN-Kaufrechts. Als Verbraucher behältst du den Schutz des zwingenden Rechts deines Wohnsitzlandes und kannst auch dort klagen. Die Online-Streitbeilegungsplattform der EU wurde eingestellt; an Verbraucherschlichtungsverfahren nehmen wir nicht teil, schreib uns aber zuerst, wir beantworten jede Nachricht.
